Highlights from day three:
- French sprinter Yannick Agnel steps up to win the 200m freestyle over Sun Yang and Taehwan Park who tied for silver. Agnel is in good form for the 100m freestyle.
- US swimmers Missy Franklin comes home strong to touch out Aussie Emily Seebom in the 100m backstroke who was odds on favourite after a strong heat and semi.
- US backstroke prodigy Matt Grevers swims strongly to comfortably win the mens 100m backstroke.
- A technical fault saw American Breeja Larson dive in before the start after the starting signal went off early. Larson was allowed to (rightly) swim the race afterwards. The 15 year old Romanian Ruta Meilutyte swam strongly to hold off American Rebecca Soni to take the gold.
