This Whitsundays swim experience is ideal for swimmers aged 18 and over who are comfortable swimming 2km+ in the open water. You’ll split your time between swimming at the famous Whitehaven beach and islands and bays in the area with incredible sightseeing during your open water swims.
During the camp you’ll discover what’s like to forgot about the outside world and let your worries melt away. You’ll learn exactly what you need to do take your swimming to the next level with underwater filming and analysis plus lots of instruction and one-on-one feedback with Effortless Swimming’s Head Coach Brenton Ford.
If you love food, you’ll be spoilt for options in Airlie Beach with many restaurants to choose from.

Itinerary
Day One
Group welcome at Heart Hotel to meet the other swimmers (4pm) followed by easy swim at nearby lagoon with underwater filming before welcome dinner at a nearby restaurant.
Day Two
Start the day off with an analysis of your technique with coach Brenton Ford to uncover where your biggest technique improvements are. Followed by technique session at the pool to help you increase efficiency and speed with your stroke.
Afternoon swim and snorkel at a nearby island.
Day Three
Your chance to do a longer swim (up to 7km for the most adventurous!) at the Whitsundays’ most iconic beach, Whitehaven beach.
This will be followed by an optional nature walk and snorkel.
Day Four
Experience the magic of Hook island, Langford and Blue Pearl
Bay with swims at each location.
Day Five
Open water swim at the beautiful Long Island, with nature walk and lunch on the beach. The day will end with a final underwater filming and analysis at the pool.
Day Six
Head home after an incredible 5 days of swimming!

From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our gracious team of bespoke butlers which offer highly personalised intuitive service.
Frequently Asked Questions
We meet at 4pm on the first day and check-in is from 2pm. Many of the flights into Proserpine arrive at 2:30pm which will allow enough time to travel to the hotel and check-in before we begin.
- Goggles (at least one pair of tinted goggles for when it’s sunny)
- Fins/flippers
- Rashie/rash vest (optional) – This will come in useful for when we are swimming during the day and the sun is at it’s strongest
Whitsunday Coast Airport, Proserpine (PPP)
This is the preferred option for most travelers. Whitsunday Coast Airport is approximately 40 minutes to Airlie Beach. The airport is serviced by four domestic carriers Qantas, Skytrans, Virgin Australia and Jetstar. Virgin Australia and Jetstar offer daily flights from Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
Hamilton Island Airport (HTI)
Hamilton Island Airport is approximately a 65 minutes boat transfer to Airlie Beach. The airport is serviced by four domestic carriers Qantas, Virgin Australia and Jetstar. Transfers are operated by Cruise Whitsundays every 1-2hrs.
We have a wide range of speeds and swimming abilities to attend the camp. We recommend a minimum standard of being able to swim 2km in 50 mins to get the most out of the camp. If you’ve never attended a camp like this before don’t worry, neither have most people!
Each swim varies between 2-4km with a longer option at Whitehaven of up to 7km for those that want to go further. You’ll be able to wear fins/flippers during the open water swims if you’d like and our support boat is with us at all times.
– There’s a $1000 AUD deposit to secure your spot on the camp which is refundable up to 14 days after booking.
– Full payment is required 120 days before the camp begins
– For cancellations 120 days or more before the camp begins, you can roll your deposit over to another camp within 12 months
– No refund if cancellation occurs within 120 days of the camp start date
Yes! Each day there is time between swims and meals to relax or explore Airlie beach and it’s surrounds. We will have two days that will be spent mostly out near the islands on the boat, and two half days on the boat.
Bookings can be made directly through the payment link above. The $1000 deposit secures your booking. Final payments are due 120 days before the camp start date.
